Guess What

Guess What, Guess What Guess What?
This is my first week of working at a forty hour job... I am not really sure how I feel about that. On the one hand MONEY but on the other hand I WANT A SUMMER! So you see I have conflicting emotions, but I guess it's time to grow up, work more and play less..... ugh that sounds so sad. I think I will be like Peter pan and never grow up even when I am ninety :). Anyways I am super excited about earning more money. So to celebrate I'm gonna listen to my favorite Lindsey Stirilng/ Piano Guys video....ohhhhhhh that gives me a great idea I should be a secret agent for my full time job instead.

Oh and it's Mothers Day this Sunday! I like this holiday. It is just such a great reminder to say thank you to all of the wonderful mothers in your life. And this Mothers day video tugs at my heart strings! Anywho I hope all of you fantastic people are having fun secret agentish adventures of your own.

We are Daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us.

Today I had the opportunity to give the lesson in Relief Society. I used to be so terrified of giving lessons and today I can honestly say that I wasn't even nervous. It's so weird how much I have grown within the past couple of years. I have been blessed with so many good experience that have helped me come out of my shell little by little. Though I am still insecure about teaching the gospel to others. Teaching history is totally different, well it seems different and less scary but in reality I am still teaching history when I give lessons in church it's just a different way of looking at history. Each day I live I get to be a part of history. I love history ( I thought I would say this just in case you couldn't already tell...). If I could have when superpower it would be to be able to take a single step and be in any place in any time period. How amazing would it be to experience things that we can only read about? Well today I got to teach on the history of Heavenly Fathers love for each and everyone of us!

I got to choose my own topic for today's lesson, which is always a little terrifying. When the lesson is already planned out in the book all you have to do is read it. So I was looking through the list of General Conference talks from just this last April and Sister Elaine S. Dalton's talk just popped out at me! If you haven't had the chance to read it or listen to it yet you can click right here and you can read all of it's amazingness. In her talk Sister Dalton related an experience  when she was struggling in life and she ran into the saying "What-e'er thou art, act well thy part". This saying helped her get through her struggles and helped her remember that her part mattered no matter how small.

I just wanted to share with all of you wonderful people some sayings and things that have helped me get through hard times.

Sunflowers! I love them! Where I grew up
they grow wild everywhere in late summer.
Every time I look at a sunflower I am reminded
of Heavenly Fathers Love for me!
He loved me enough to know that I would look
at this sunflower and think of him :)

Always Remember Who You Are!

I hope you are all having a beautiful Sunday. I love ya!

Missing You

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDsfou6UfjUI am currently missing everyone!!!!!Spring Break is an evil sinister thing. It hold so much promise and joy and then it ends and you have to go back to reality. So right now I am sitting on my bed missing everyone it seems. Even the weather is trying to trick me today. It's so nice and warm it makes me belief that summer is really almost here but wait take a look at this weeks forecast and it says it is supposed to snow tomorrow. What? Oh this crazy weather of March, but that's okay I still love you. But still I am missing all of you wonderful people. Sometimes (okay a lot of the time) I wish I lived back in the regency era in England and I could just sit around all day and accept callers and go out visiting others it sounds so dreamy. But in reality I would probably belong to the poor class and be stuck waiting upon those lucky women who got to do that all the time. Plus there would be other setbacks like no modern plumbing, or electricity. Oh and I really do like going to school and lots of girls back then didn't get to have a lot of education. So I am  extremely happy to live when and where I do. Let;s listen to some awesome Lindsey Stirling and the Piano guys to cheer me up :).

Look for the little things

Today we had the most amazing lesson in Relief Society on Perspective and I just wanted to share some of my favorite things that were shared today. The teacher told us eight points on trials and gaining perspective.

1. We must gain a vision of ourselves as the Savior sees us.
2. It is your Reaction to adversity, not adversity itself that determines how your life story will develop.
3. Experiences will allow us to Develop the traits and attributes we need to become more Christlike.
4.To Gain eternal perspective while we are going through tests we are spiritually refined and strengthened
5. Adversity teaches us things we cannot lean other wise.
6. Increased Faith.
( I didn't get two of them down, but they were awesome too)

"With your will you can choose to see either the darkness through the light or brightness through shadows"

Sometimes I forget to look for the small things to be happy about when I am  sad or just having a rough time in life. It is so amazing to know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me no matter what! He loves each and every person that has every been or every will be on this earth. I know that he loves all of you!!! It is such a wonderful feeling to know that at least one person loves and cares about you and always will. That you can always turn to them for help and guidance. It's beautiful!

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday and a beautiful week!LOVE YOU!

An Ode to Spring! ( Revisited)

I was searching around on my Blog and I found this silly little poem I wrote... even though spring is still like a month away I figure we should celebrate the last days of winter with this poem! Enjoy :)

Spring , Spring you seem, so near.
Spring spring you give me cheer.
You bring hope of sunshine so bright.
That just thinking of you it lights up my night.

Spring I can see you now
Winter please don't have a cow
So please stop bringing more snow
And please stop making the wind blow!

Spring spring your finally here
Spring spring to bring everyone cheer
the grass is getting greener every day
and flowers are popping up to play.

Happiness

So for the past couple of days I have had a song stuck in my head. You know the one that talks about "Happiness is two scoops of ice cream...." or maybe you don't. This cute little singing group from where I grew up sang it at one of their concerts. Anyways so I have been reflecting on the state of happiness and what it really is, and I have come to decide that happiness is not something you can define because it is different for everyone. For me happiness really can be two scoops of (chocolate) ice cream or it could be as simple as spending time with good company, whereas to someone clear across the world they could hate ice cream and what makes them happy is brussel sprouts ( I am not saying that I hate brussel sprouts.... to be honest I don't even know if have ever tried them). I hope wherever you are today that you can find your "Two scoops of ice cream" and I wish you all the laughter that this world can give :)

Oh the scary things of life

Each one of us is scared of something, silly things, real things, imaginary things. The point is each of us is scared of something. I have...
