Life is chugging along!

WOW this semester has gone ridiculously fast. I am loving going to school here more then i did at the beginning of the year....which is a first. So here are some random stories from my year so far.
Once upon a time I was sitting on the city bus going up to campus. It was about nine O'clock in the morning. This boy sat next to me and he was peeling the most Delicious smelling orange in the entire world. I'm pretty sure my mouth was drooling and I was openly staring. He must have seen this because he asked if I wanted some. I hesitated for a moment and then noticed that he had the same backpack as me so I thought "Hey anyone with the same backpack would never poison an orange and over it to someone" So I excitedly said yes much to the poor kids astonishment so he handed me a slice. It was the most heavenly orange I have ever tasted.
The End

Once upon a time I was in a computer lab. I reached down into my backpack and ended up hitting my head on the computer desk. The boy next to me started laughing. Turns out he has done the same thing. Who knew that I wasn't the only clumsy person in the world.

Once upon a time I went to a murder mystery party with my room mate Kati. Everyone else was acting very serious and trying to solve the crime. Kati and I decided that it was the least likely person who killed the last neanderthal. Everyone else looked at us like we were crazy. they all picked the most likely candidate.... they were right. Why couldn't it have been like CSI where everything is always a surprise?

Once upon a time the entire campus was playing Humans V.S. Zombies. I couldn't stop laughing every time I walked to class because some poor human was getting chased down by a pack of Zombies. One time I was waiting at the bus stop when the bus pulled up a Human leaped off the bus followed by a pack of Zombies. All the people on the bus were shouting "RUN HUMAN RUN!" I shall never know if the human escaped or not... but it was fun to watch.

SCHOOL AGAIN!

So school has started again. You think I would get tired of first days of school after fifteen years of school but no I still adore them! It's so much fun to meet new people and learn new things who wouldn't be excited. I love USU so flippin much. I loved Snow College but I think I like USU better. Most likely because all of my classes are Anthro classes and I get to see some amazing people everyday that I haven't been able to see for awhile, and I have really good room mates and I love the place I live at and I love being a part of the Ldssa and the swing club and I love being close enough to home that I can actually go home when I want to. Ya I could go on for quite awhile about all the things I love about USU oh and did I mention the Pizza Pie CAFE!!!!! It's so delicious I especially love the Oreo pizza. USU may be big but that doesn't mean it isn't fun. Yes I do miss cute little quaint Snow but for the most part I am absolutely loving USU. Life is SOOOOO GOOD! The other day I was walking or driving ( I can't remember) with my roommates and we found a street named after me it was crazy. Also I really obsessed with Jane Austen movies at the moment. Well that's it for now. Sorry for my crazy random rambling post :)

Wheat and Beet Days 5k

SO this was a lot more fun then I ever thought it would be.It made it even more fun to have tons of my family running it with me. It really felt like a family reunion. Running to say the least can be painful! The best part of the race is the beginning and the end. In the beginning you can feel every ones energy pulsing in the air and it just makes you more excited. Then the race begins and everyone is off. Its chaotic you feel that if you don't keep going you will get run over by all the people with strollers that are behind you. The end of the race your so excited to cross the finish line and finally say I have accomplished something!!! I am definitely doing another 5k race!

DAY 1

So I started running today..well if you can call it running. RB said to start out by walking 6 minutes then run one minute, you do this three times so it adds up to 21 minutes though only 3 of them are running minutes. Anyways I thought it was going to be a piece of cake running one minute but it was harder then I thought it would be. I think though that starting something is always the hardest and then over time it will get easier. I couldn't find a watch to time myself besides the hello kitty one that I got in a happy meal but hey it worked!

RUN RUN RUN!

It has always been a dream of mine to run in a race of some kind. The only problem is that I despise exercising. My sister told me she wanted to start running and I thought what better motivation to start running and keep running then having someone to do it with you. So then I decided why not run a 5k in August. So I started today. I actually didn't run today but I biked about two miles. Along with running I decided to eat better too. It's so hard especially when there is pumpkin Chocolate chip cookies in the cookie jar but as of right now I will just have to settle for apples and peanut butter!

My life at the moment in a nutshell!

I graduated from Snow College with an Associates of Arts degree about a week ago. I really liked the Graduation ceremony...the only downside was it was almost three hours long!!!!! It would have been shorter but they kept talking and talking and talking and talking. There was so many people in the gym too. I'm pretty sure if they had gone by the fire code stuff at least one third of those people would have been kicked out of there. I thought it was fun though to have my family around. Then I had to go through the joys of checking out of my apartment. It was great to have to re-clean the blinds again. Those things are such a pain. But we made it out of there and after spending so much time on those blinds I was super excited to finally leave Mountain View behind. This past week has been full of job applications, I keep crossing my fingers that I will actually get a job sooner this year, but I guess I will just have to wait patiently around to find out. Something else exciting is my awesome older sister Krista and her husband RB both graduated from USU this past weekend. Krista with her BS in Horticulture and RB with his MS in something to do with computers! I am so proud of Krista for finishing up at USU. Wahoo Krista!!!
Also last week my parents house was infested with strep throat! I despise that stuff... I have had it twice already this year. YUK! This time it wasn't me though, but my throat started hurting again a couple days after, luckily and a little bit annoyingly It just a huge Canker sore right on the back of my throat. I can't wait for it to go away... It makes eating rather painful! The good news is that I am graduated from Snow and that now I have tie to read books again!! I just finished reading the first book in the Leven Thumps series. I actually really liked it, I kept comparing it to Fable-haven which isn't good because they are really different books. I also kept putting off reading it because of the cover. I know I know never judge a book by it's cover but that's exactly what I did. The cover was just really weird looking but finally I read it after my sister said she had liked it and know I can't wait to read the second one. So have I learned my lesson to never judge a book by it's cover? Probably not...it's how I always find books to read if I don't like the cover I won't read it. So to all you publishing companies out there if you want me to read your books you better pick out a cover that I will like it ! :)

Cast in a day

In Human bio lab today we practicing making casts. I got a cast put on me leg it was nice and red. Any ways I kept it on for about two hours. I just have to say how thankful I am that I have never broken a bone. I used crutches for the first time today. And let me tell you those things are intense. Especially trying to walk clear across campus with. I got it taken off too! It feels so good to be able to move my foot again. I don't want to know what it feels like to have one on for six weeks so today I am counting my blessings! Also everyone in bio said I should make up a cool story on how I had broken it. I told a couple of people that I had fallen off a board by my apartments (which really did happen but I didn't break a bone, I just ripped my pants. embarrasing right!) But I felt too bad so I just starting telling people the truth. Which is definalty much easier!!! Anywho it was fun to have a cast for a little while but am glad it's gone. And I'm sorry Chelsey for squeling a little when you cut it off. It's just a little scary to see a blade coming at your leg.

A true and Correct Principle!

I signed up for a bowling class this semester because I wanted to get better at bowling. Every time I have gone bowling before I usually get around the fifties. Which isn't to terrible is it?

I started the class really excited when I started getting 80's instead of 50's! For a really long time though I have wanted to get above 100. Every time I would go to bowling my team would always say " Your gonna get 100 today" I would get close once I got a 99 but never 100 until last Tuesday! It was the first day of the nine pin tournament. (All that means is if you knock nine pines down on the first ball of each frame it counts as a strike) I got a strike because of a nine pin and I was so excited because I hardly ever get strikes. Then the next two balls I threw were really real strikes!!!! I Got a TURKEY!!!!! I felt like doing cartwheels around the bowling alley! My final score was a 110!!! YIPPEE!!! Today in bowling though I just kept getting strikes and spares it was really crazy and I ended up getting a 121!!! I really hope that I can keep being this good a bowling. Maybe I am finally getting Bob's (my bowling teacher) true and correct principle down, that when executed correctly will elevate your score!!!! Oh and always remember another of Bob's sayings "Positive outlook Positive Feed back" :)

Finally!

After waiting about sixteen or seventeen years of my life I got another Jasmine Barbie doll. I know a twenty year old shouldn't be getiing barbies. But this just had to be done. See there was a sad incident when I was in daycare. I had taken my Jasmine Barbie doll to daycare, when these two older girls told me that I had stolen it from another little girl and they took it away from me. Needless to say I never saw the doll again. And yes I was very heart broken! But now I have a new one so I can move on with my life. Someday I hope I meet those girls again and say "ha you evil jasmine barbie doll stealing bullies, I hope you feel dreadful about what you did!"

Packers in spanish class

So yesterday, we had to one of those silly activities in spanish class were we tell our speaking partner what our favortie holiday is and why. SO my friend Katilina was like (in spanish by the way not english) I love the super bowl. And then we started freaking out because we both want the Green bay packers to win. While we were freaking out my spanish teacher came over to see what all the commotion was about. After that activity we had to get into bigger groups and plan a pretend part.Of course we did a Super Bowl party for the packers! Our food including cheese and that's it (solamente). Then my teacher made us get in front of the whole class and say what our party was. I guess it goes to show that the Green Bay packers can make it into anything!

Another Semester!

It's week three of semester four at Snow College. My favorite class weirdly enough is my Human bio lab! It's so much fun!!!! Life is pretty boring as of right now. This weekend is my room mates Birthday and we are going to surprise her with breakfast!!! Good news is I only missed two on my spanish Oral exam, and It's friday!! Bad news is I have lots of homework so no fun weekend for me!!!!

Oh the scary things of life

Each one of us is scared of something, silly things, real things, imaginary things. The point is each of us is scared of something. I have...
